Echelons Above Brigade Airspace Course (EABAC) Practice Exam

Airspace control for a division’s operations is owned by the Division Air and Missile Defense. This unit brings together air defense and airspace management, planning and executing the full set of airspace control measures within the division’s area of operations, and coordinating with higher echelons and joint operations to ensure safe, deconflicted air activity. The Joint Air Operations Center operates at the theater level, coordinating across services, and is not focused on a single division’s control. The ASOC handles close air support coordination, while a Division Airspace Element would execute tasks under guidance but does not hold the overall responsibility. So, the Division Air and Missile Defense is the organization charged with all aspects of Army airspace control in support of division operations.
